Where did the mysterious dead elephant come from?
Once again, we are presented with the mysteries of Mother Nature. Witnesses can often make us speculate, especially when the action takes place without witnesses. This was the case when visitors to Kruger came across lions feeding on an elephant 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦.
“In all honesty, we’re not quite sure how the lions managed to catch the 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 elephant.”
“Elephants are expected to be ‘very protective of their young, and for lions to hunt them would be ‘very risky and unproductive’. We are not sure if the heifer was found by the lions or if they brought it down miraculously. The 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 м could have had an illness and passed away. There were no other elephants around, so this would be our best guess.”
